Sunrooms allow you to enjoy the great outdoors from the comfort of your home, even the winter. No, they aren\u2019t just for summer! Well-insulated, four-season sunrooms allow you to enjoy the stillness of winter without needing to throw in a coat, boots, scarves, hats, and gloves.<\/p>\n

Sadly, sunrooms are still associated with summer. That\u2019s because when most people think of sunrooms, they think of three-season sunrooms with little or no insulation. While those are great options for some people, having a well-lit room that looks out into nature that you can enjoy all year round is a benefit you can enjoy for years to come.<\/p>\n

Preparing for winter<\/h4>\n

If you already have a four-year sunroom, there\u2019s not too much you need to do to prepare it for winter. Like other windows in your house, you should check the glass walls for drafts. Also look out for other signs of wear-and-tear that could spell big trouble in the years to come. If the glass walls lock, or have panes that open, you should ensure these are fortified against the cold by testing the locks. Ask about weather-stripping if need be.<\/p>\n

Adding some wintery touches is also a great way to make your sunroom truly seasonal. Add a comfy, thick blanket with a bunch of pillows, or a fluffy wintery rug to maximize the feeling of being in the great outdoors.<\/p>\n
