Don and Sharon Wood founded D&W Windows and Sunrooms in Burton, Michigan, opening their first showroom on Davison Road. The company initially specialized in patio furniture, patio covers, awnings, and storm windows.
Dave Wood, Don and Sharon's son, joined the business full-time, contributing to sales and supporting the family-owned operation.
Mark Wood, another of Don and Sharon's children, joined the sales team, further solidifying D&W as a multi-generational family business.
D&W shifted its focus to manufacturing and selling vinyl windows and vinyl composite sunrooms. This marked the beginning of their specialization in energy-efficient, factory-direct home improvement products.
To accommodate growth, D&W opened a new 72,000-square-foot manufacturing and showroom facility at 8068 East Court Street in Davison, Michigan.
D&W marks its 70th anniversary as a leader in windows, sunrooms, and home improvements, proudly remaining family-owned across three generations.
